Terms and Conditions for BC Bereavement Helpline’s Traumatic Loss Facilitator Training (TLFT)

We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or transfer training to another date or person. However, BCBH asks participants to understand that we have fees to cover so we have set minimum and maximum limits for training sessions, and cancellations can affect the ability to run a cohort. Whenever possible, we recommend “substituting for another person” instead of cancelling or transferring to a new date.

 

REGISTRATION FEE TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Please review our terms and conditions before registering for training. If you can’t attend a training that you’ve registered for, these are your options:

TO CANCEL:

  • More than 15 days before training: full refund (*Full refunds are subject to $10 administrative fee to cover processing fees)
  • 7-15 days before training: 50% nonrefundable
  • Within 7 days before training: no refund, see “Substitute for Another Person”

 

TO TRANSFER TO ANOTHER DATE:

  • More than 15 days before training: transfer to another date (subject to availability).
  • 7-15 days before training: transfer to another date (subject to availability) with $50 admin fee. 
  • Within 7 days before training: may be possible, subject to office approval and $50 admin fee. Otherwise, see “Substitute for Another Person”

 

TO SUBSTITUTE FOR ANOTHER PERSON:

  • More than 7 days before training: transfer to another person, no fee.
  • Within 2-7 days before training: transfer to another person for $25 fee.
  • Within 2 days before training: transfer to another person may be possible, subject to office approval and $50 admin fee.

Please note, the “substitute” option means the original registrant has replacement/substitution person who has approved that they will attend.  BCBH does not have the resources to find replacements.

 

NO-SHOW: 

  • No-shows will not receive a refund or transfer option.

 

ADDITIONAL TERMS:

  • Space is not held until payment is received.
  • BCBH reserves the right to cancel or modify training; if a cancellation is necessary, we will offer full refunds or the option to transfer to a new date without additional fees.
  • Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the appropriate technology to join Sessions 1 and 6 via Zoom and to be able to utilize the online learning platform. Please ensure you have a comfortable, safe, private space to join from a laptop or computer. If this is a problem for you, we recommend you go to a local library or make alternative arrangements to get the most out of the training.
  • Participants must be available to attend both Sessions 1 and 6 live via Zoom.

These options provide flexibility while ensuring our organization can manage its resources effectively. Thank you for your understanding.
