Training supported by:  This six-part program will increase your understanding of grief as a life process and how traumatic loss is a unique grief experience. It will also help you develop an action plan to implement and facilitate a grief support group informed by the BC Bereavement Helpline support group model in order to provide support to anyone coping with traumatic grief and loss. Module 1: You will begin the course by attending the live Module 1 3.5-hour Zoom videoconference session starting at 1:00 - 4:30pm Pacific Time. Modules 2 to 5: These eLearning courses are self-directed. You can complete them on any device with a Wi-Fi connection, although a laptop or desktop is recommended. Module 6: The course ends with Module 6, a final live 3.5-hour Zoom videoconference session, 1:00 - 4:30pm Pacific Time. This is where you will be able to collaborate with fellow course learners to develop your own support group curriculum and review your Action Plan.   Depending on your learning style, this course can take anywhere from 9 to 11 hours in full over the space of two weeks.
